TTC-Copper®

is a short-chipping copper (free machining) material which is easy to process and also perfectly suited for EDM due to the high electrical conductivity found in this material.

By adding a small amount of tellurium (< 0.5 %) the microstructure of the alloy is changed and the chips become more brass like during machining. A higher machining speed compared to pure copper is thus realized.

We stock this material in the form of plates, round rods, threaded electrodes.
